The rest of the world doesn't have problems either. Ask on here, I'll bet you a majority of the people will say they really don't have problems either. If you have an hour or so to sit by your computer, you should be able to get tickets to almost any game you want. You really have no idea about Cubs tickets, do you?

You've got to be kidding me. You asked me to ask others on here, so I will. Does anyone else think it is easy to get tickets to Cubs games? Do you think you will be able to get tickets to any game you want? You must have no idea how difficult it is to get tickets. Have you ever been to a game (not in iowa)? It doesn't seem like it. The vast majority on this board will probably spend several hours trying to get tickets. Once they get in all of the Sox games and Cardinal weekend games will be sold out. I've done this for years. I know how it works and all the secrets and still have a hard time. One you get in you have the option of spending $50 for bleachers or some other shitty seats. You must go to a lot of games during weekdays in April or back in 1984 because getting more than a couple of weekend games in the summer is quite difficult. Either that or your a lucky SOB.

Here's what I said: "If you have an hour or so to sit by your computer, you should be able to get tickets to almost any game you want." Tell me what's so unbelievable about what I said. I've done it every year they've had the virtual waiting room and had the same results every year.

Looks like Ruby struck a nerve.

I tend to agree with both sides though.I've never had trouble getting 'just any' tickets within an hour or two but the 'Premier' games ..and seats ,have always eluded me.

You guys just like to argue.
A herd of buffalo can move only as fast as the slowest buffalo. When the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

In much the same way the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

My ultimate point is that getting tickets to games isn't like trying to find the golden ticket to get into Wonka's Chocolate Factory like Coldneck seems to think it is.

Same here.....a game is a game.
Beggers cant be choosers these days.

Maybe its time to crack open the safe and pony up to the brokers if I feel the need to see a game that would be just as good in my living room.

Last season I took off the day that tickets went on sale, as I plan to do this year. I had absolutely NO LUCK last year. I had numerous windows open and was also calling on both my cell and home phone. By the time I got through either way, there were only single tickets available. I hope to have more luck this year as I have plans with different friends for different games, but I foresee the attempt being futile.
