I actually tuned in tonight. The home run didn’t even cause a reaction. This simply isn’t a good team and my expectations for the season are completely gone.

Glad that there’s no such thing as clutch hitting or I might be worried as since May, the Cubs are hitting 179 with RISP. Yup, no such thing as clutch which should mean for the next 6 weeks the Cubs should hitting 280 in same situation. As Cubs were hitting 50 points lower than overall BA so now they will hit 50 points better than average. Yeah, right

At this point why would Jed and Co. even bother adding at the deadline? Just to maybe squeak into a WC spot and get bounced early? Please don’t waste prospects on ST rentals. Also, Jed and his overly cautious spending habits needs to go.

Also, since May this offense is either 28th, 29th, or 30th in MLB in almost every measurable stat. The Cubs are just as bad as the White Sox on offense. This team isn't a couple of players away from being a real contender -- they need a complete overhaul.

If starters and relievers get - and remain - healthy, the roster is likely a pair of corner infielders, an power hitter away, and closer away from contending
