But I wouldn't bet on it. I'm unloading my Cards/Cubs tickets as soon as is humanly possible.

I'm sure you all just heard on the broadcast like I did, Ozzie Guillen just got suspended 5 games for his half words in admiration of Fidel Castro. I think I wanted to lay some new sod down this weekend anyway. High Five.

it's a ridiculous suspension

It's an idiotic suspension for sure, but I will hold back my tears for Ozzie.
That said, he should have known better given that the market he plays in views Castro on par with Hitler.

Hi,
One of the articles I read said that Ozzie is doing just what the owners wanted. He is getting the franchise tons of publicity; something they really did not have much of in south Florida. regards, 5412

Whoa. Is that a credible writer 5412? I mean that is a hell of a marketing strategy, but also one that will mar your reputation if leaked to the public, which it seems it has. That's some serious ish.

There's no chance in hell that getting the Cuban-American population of South Florida calling for the new manager's resignation, opening week...was a strategy. It's just Ozzie being the fucking idiot we all know and love. The suspension is still stupid.

Yeah, not all publicity is good publicity. Who would orchestrate such an idiotic stunt? I'm not buying it.

As I am retired, when I get bored I check the Cubs website, then CSN, Tribune, Sun Times, ESPN and Fox. I just rechecked all of them and it is gone. I personally thought the writer was over the top also.....might have been credible but the point made no realistic sense to me either. The idea behind it was part of the reason Ozzie was hired was to create publicity in the Spanish speaking community and create interest in the team. If anyone does find it; please post the link. Having protesters in front of your box office is not the kind of publicity I would want. If it pops up I will post the link. regards, 5412

Berkman might be out for Cubs series with strained left leg.
Guess big pumas shouldn't go for triples in April as injury resulted from legging out a triple

Hi,
How about trading Byrd to the Red Sox to fill in for Ellsbury? regards, 5412
