Thought for sure that little fucker they just called up was going to play hero.

Can’t we just have a nice relaxing win?

Not going to complain about wins.

Would be nice to enjoy the Cubs being up throughout a game with 3 run cushion early ballooning to a 8 - 9 run cushion by the 9th.

This team reminds me of the 2007 Cubs. Not dominant and lacking a homegrown core, but pesky and very fun to watch.

This season will likely end in a similar fashion.

And I'm ok with that as long as we add talent to the roster during the off-season as we did 16 years ago.

Given where my expectations were at the beginning of the season, and especially around Memorial Day, this has been a pleasant surprise and I'm enjoying the ride.

Same. I haven't had much fun watching this team since 2017, so this has been a real treat.

As does Smyly.

While Cuas was disappointing, Smyly just sucks sweaty, donkey balls - For those not familiar with the technical vernacular, that’s significantly worse

On a positive note, Smyly appears aware of the problem after giving up 7 runs in 3 and 2/3rds innings, Smyly stated, “I need to pitch better, obviously,” Pleased that he’s aware of the issue

Indeed. Bring up Wicks and/or Brown please.
