Pretty disappointing game all around. Bad defense, not being able to add on after scoring 4 in the 1st inning (against some pretty weak pitching). Feels like a missed opportunity to stomp some life out of the Cardinals.

Just can’t get too excited nor disappointed about this team

They were built to be a 500 team. They’ve been double digit games below 500 so hopefully they’ll one day get 10 games above 500 - unlikely but we can hope

Yeah I’ve been keeping them at arms length. They’re definitely more fun to watch than the last couple of years, but that’s a low bar. It’ll be interesting to see what happens at the trade deadline…

It's hard not to imagine the trip to London hasn't hurt them a little. When MLB schedules these overseas games, the same two teams should play another series when they get back to the States so they aren't at a disadvantage.

Cubs have 7 hits coupled with Phillies 2 errors and a total of 1 run through 7 innings. Guess that going 1-10 with RISP will do that

It’s was difficult to abide by the Wrigley rule of ‘Cubs up by 10 runs time to drink a lot more’ but I found a way and still may still remain vertical for dinner with GF and her friend in 90 minutes.

Yes, I’ve already ordered a round of double dirty vodka martinis with pickle juice for the table in an attempt to get them plastered before they realize how drunk I am

Went to Wrigley last night with my kids. Waited out the 3 hour rain delay to see one of the most lackluster performances I’ve witnessed in person. Still fun to hang at Wrigley, but the Cubs will not be buyers this year. It was fun to dream for a minute, but this lineup is so weak.
