Jake has plenty of time to give it right back.

Nothing like walking in a run.  It's safe to say Arrieta is no longer good.

Arrieta got out of that mess

Loaded up bases but only one run scored

Brewers have the Cubs number this season.  Cubs are 3-8 - about to be 3-9 - against the Brewers.

Brewers management and coaches know the Cubs weaknesses, developed a serious game plan and corresponding roster to beat the living shit out of this squad.

BTW, I thought that starting Hendricks and Davies back to back would be a disaster - and Davies pitched a great 4 innings only giving up 2 hits - so what the hell do I know about baseball.

About to be 6 games back with July upon us. Time to blow this shit up. I don't give a rat's ass about Marquee ratings or losing the core. Time for a new direction.

Kind of where I'm at. I think that stretch of good play changed everyone's perception of this team. They really aren't that team (they aren't this bad, either --  they're somewhere in between). But they're definitely not WS contenders. There's no point in being an average team -- far better to blow it up and try to rebuild.

It boggles the mind how Hoyer could have thought Arietta was a viable option this year. As if he was going to find something by putting on the Cubs uniform. Just nuts.

I honestly don't think he expected much more than for Jake to be an innings-eater, but sadly he can't even do that.
