Listened to most of game while driving

Very tired of Wainwright continually finding ways to miss Cub bats for 132nd season

Cubs win

Cubs win

Was great to hear Cubs pull out the series win

This, more so.

Feels good.

(Scary, but Contreras' ulna bump looks like no big deal--now.)

Winner winner chicken dinner

I thought Id never see an umpire worse than Angel Hernandez, yet here we are... He was just terrible all game. Only positive for him is that he was consistently terrible.

Rookie ump. Way too early to tell if he's in  the Hernandez/Bucknor/West league. (disclaimer: Joe West's issues aren't generally strike zone issues)

That game was a disaster in almost every way, so pretty stunned and pleased that we pulled it out.

Also, the NLCentral is totally there for the taking, so I don't envy Hoyer right now if he was planning a firesale.

Can you imagine his thought process if the Cubs are in second, within a couple of games, approaching the deadline?

Not certain if the Brewers or the Cardinals are more worrisome NL Central opponent for the Cubs this season

Both teams have flaws - similar to Cubs.

Cubs have already played 9 games against the Brewers and are 3-6 against them while Cubs are 2-1 against the Cards.

Whoever developed this schedule really made some obvious mistakes. Cubs have played 9 games with Pirates and Brewers prior to playing the Cardinals.

How good do the Cards excluding their 5-0 record against the Pirates or 3-0 against the Rockies? Playoff teams thrive against weak opposition and play 500 against teams with better than 500 records but thats pushing it

There are definitely some positives about this team, but they still don't look like a group that could do anything in the postseason. Would adding an ace to the rotation help? I don't know...maybe someone like...Yu Darvish?
