Minor League deal that may be worth up to 900,000 according to Stark.

Wow. They CLEARLY expect Pie to be gone.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

I can't see any way in hell he makes the team.

Unless we carry 8 outfielders.
A herd of buffalo can move only as fast as the slowest buffalo. When the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.

In much the same way the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

Are there any other dogshit ex-Cardinals who haven't been signed yet? Because we need more of those types.

Again, Miles is fine. However if Hoe Dapussy is what he was last year for the Phillies, yes, he's dogshit. I agree with Cap though. It's a Minor League deal, this is just to have some depth going into camp and I don't see him on the team.

Why don't you fucking shut up about ex-Cardinals, and start worrying about the lack of American representation on our roster?

Now that we traded Marquis, there isn't one freaking American man on the team...

OK...one.

Zambrano.

All these old Cards signings are ironic, considering I'd imagine that they'd go to Cincy with Jocketty before they went to us.
I hate my pretentious sounding username too.

That does it, then. It is a must that we get Peavy. We can't risk potenially having Hoffpauir, Shark, and Marshall be the only American players on this ballclub. We'll be the laughing stock of the league!
