Appears to be Reinsdorf / Williams at their finest. They bring in an old white guy with a history of denigrating players who are vocal regarding politics and racism during these tumultuous times. Plus, managing has changed dramatically over the last 9 seasons since LaRussa last managed. Supposedly, Reinsdorf didn’t interview any leading candidates other than LaRussa. Finally, LaRussa’s history while well respected, is fairly jaded included sign stealing while with White Sox and rampant PED usage at A’s and Cards. Yeah, this has all the makings of a great move.
