This moron used to write about prospects at BN. He has no clue who Armstrong is.

Quote:Kimbrel was probably our biggest trade chip. Every contender wants bullpen help and Kimbrel might be the best closer in the league right now. Madrigal is Theriot 2.0..

Nah. Theriot was a player who was never a prospect who got a couple decent years in. Madrigal has been highly thought of for some time.

Man, I forgot about him.

Yeah, I'm with you Slaw, I find it odd that all the people shitting on Madrigal (not you Butch) loved him when he was drafted.

So...does the possibility exist that we aren't trading KB and will actually re-sign him now that we need power?  Humor me.

Getting Madrigal alone was amazing for 1 1/3 years of Kimbrel. Getting Heuer (who has been a BAbip victim this year) in addition should be regarded as larceny.

Yeah, a lot of folks seem to think the white sox payed a very big price for Kimbrel. The Theriot 2.0 designation from Butch doesn't thrill me, but on paper, looks like a good deal to me if he can get fully healthy.

Nope.  KB to the Giants; well that about cleans out the house.

Marisnick to SD.  Jesus Jed was not fucking around.

Yeah, but what was more depressing was the half-assed approach they took this off season. At least we know where it stands now.

Can they just trade Wrigley and I can be done with Cub baseball?

We got a great 6 weeks of baseball which Cubs won’t have again for many seasons
