2020 Team
Yeah, after initial skepticism he's earned the benefit of the doubt.  Would like to see what he does.

I'm much more interested in who he picks as GM.

I'm going to send him a loaf of bread.

Well, looking like Schwarber getting non tendered. Im starting to despise the Ricketts. Not so much about Schwarber, but if this is about money seriously fuck them.

Schwarber will move on to another org and Ricketts will have another few thousand rolls of hundreds in his private bank vault. Thank goodness

Thought Schwarber and, or Bryant would not be returning to the Cubs for 2021 but guessed the Cubs could find a trading partner for him and receive a low level prospect or 2. Nope

We'll always have 2016. Not too sad about this, but just sucks that it has to be mostly about the money. Hey, at least Jose Martinez is also gone.

This family is really making it hard to be a fan of this team.

I suppose we can look forward to the major improvements next year being another handful of minor league lottery ticket relievers.

Was Ryan fucking Tepera really too much of a luxury for this bullpen?

Bummed that Almora never became an average offensive player. High character guy with good/great defensive skills who couldn’t hit better than my deceased great grandmother.

Serious question, since the WS has this ownership been looking to maximize value to sell it off?  I'm pretty close to getting to the point where i hope that's what happens.

Who runs this obvious t-shirt company that's constantly in my Cubs related twitter feed?  I think they're pretty dumb.

I'm almost certain that BN/Ace is an investor.

It sure seems that way.  How are they any different than buying an "I'm with stupid" shirt?

Or the always delightful "Who Farted?" series of tees.

Speaking of T-shirts, If I am not rooting for the laundry then who/what am I rooting for in Chicago? Most of you are born to this team. You are blessed with a rich history. It is fun catching up a little. And we'll always have '16, AND the crazy build up to it.

But, I have a history of following people not teams now--flying out to see Nomar in an early home game at Wrigley was my pre-introduction to this city, the people around the park, the shitty ownership/leadership/team-calculus at the time (useful for contrast of what was to come). Soon, following Theo led to my e-introduction to Brett (he was always generous with his time, until he tried to shuttle a few of us over SOI (I wish more of those guys stuck, they were cool, too) and speaking of generous, eventually I e-met you all.

Losing Schwarber hurts.

I suppose if I had followed Theo's spreadsheets more carefully since '16 (prior to I studied them like inscriptions on a sacred talisman), I would've seen why and I would have seen this non-tender coming. Hell, GM/Coach/Hero Belichick just said that the Patriots built themselves to win Super Bowls the last bunch of years by leveraging resources from this season.

Suck it cyclical sports.

I'll look for Kyle on some American League highlights next year.

I might follow baseball, too.
