She's gotten distracted chasing a bug.
I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

I always did the same with both my dogs. I think it's just a matter of habit.

You know, it is possible that Bonds could gain 40 pounds or so naturally in the 10 years between this game and 2001. I'm not saying anything regarding steroids, but he could have gained the weight given age and training. I don't believe for a second that he would have hit 71 home runs without steroids--but it might have been interesting if he had just naturally added weight and power. I would have liked to have seen what he could have done clean with some more muscle.

I was at a game in either early 91 or 92 and my friend and I were sitting by the bullpen. Before the game, Pappas was there signing autographs for the kids. We were only a few rows up and, like dorks, we were calling his name asking for his autograph.

The graphics are great. Even the Cub's road unis are kind of cool.
Is it just me, or is everyone bone-thin? Ryno's a HOFer, and even he looks like a toothpick.
There's nothing better than to realize that the good things about youth don't end with youth itself. It's a matter of realizing that life can be renewed every day you get out of bed without baggage. It's tough to get there, but it's better than the dark thoughts. -Lance

This makes you an unofficial geezer--you can remember a time that you could get that close to the field before an actual game. I remember doing the same thing, but it was probably 1973.

No, actually those were our seats. I forget who she got them from, but we had to go. It was April I'm quite sure and very warm. We took the Western bus all the way to Addison... took forever! I know what you're talking about, though. I did that when I was a younger teen. Got there early, got close to the field, and actually got to speak with the players and get autographs.

Steroids, other supplements, and everybody trains like crazy now. This is why guys like The Hawk should be in the hall solely for his 87 season for crying out loud.

No kidding.
This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.

The MLB Net definitely did this to prove that Andre needs to be in the Hall. Oppo grand slam. The man is a fucking beast.

This game is such a good example of Andre's career too. Earlier in the game he was limping a bit, hurt his knee on the damn turf. Then he hits a an opposite field shot that only a few guys in the league could do at that time, then is taken out for defense the following inning likely because his knee is bothersome. Dude would've easily hit 500+ homers and and stolen 400+ bases if not for the astroturf in Montreal(and here in Pittsburgh we see) giving him knee problems.
