I’ll be surprised if Stanton ends up with Cardinals as that’s a shit load of the team’s salary base to be eaten up by one player. Granted the one player is most likely this year’s MVP entering his prime years. Cards may throw in additional bodies to gain some salary relief from the long backloaded contract.


Cardinals have the young cost controlled pitching that Marlins - and remainder of MLB - covet. Stanton says he would prefer the playing for a team on the coasts so hope he sticks with that desire and goes to an AL team.
