I dont buy a single word of it. Hoyer is a liar. This is absolute corporate damage control and it stinks to high heaven. I cant remember the last time Ive had such a low opinion of this organization. It really sucks that I basically have to talk my way through why I should still be a fan of this organization.

My guess is late May 2022 - after lockout ends and Ricketts realizes that he needs to do something to “bring back” the fans in time for summer.

I pretty much agree with Funk and Jeffy here. This will mostly be ancient history once the team is good again (whenever that is, who knows). Not sure if Hoyer is my preferred guy to lead the organization into this next era, but I don't have a problem with what he's done so far other than answering questions about internal matters he should have just declined to delve into. Rizzo is already disputing Hoyer's narrative on ESPN 1000, so that's just another bad look for this organization. I just want to move on.

Ill keep my thoughts to myself after this post. But I just hate how this all went down. Maybe its stupid, but the thing that lingers with me the most is that Rizzo and Bryant werent given a final AB at Wrigley. That was some cold hearted shit.

Please, Butch, don't hold back at all. I don't necessarily disagree with some of what you're saying, I just don't have the energy to care as much as I used to, and have been frustrated with the status quo for many years now. I'm not going to ever defend the Rickettses for being hypocrites, but am at least willing to give Jed the benefit of doubt for another year or two to see where this all goes.

I think a lot of things about the game have changed -- and a lot of them not for the better. I'm probably the old man shaking his fist at the cloud at this point, but it's hard for me to get my head wrapped around the core being shown the exit so unceremoniously. It has left a really bad taste in my mouth. But I get that it's a business...I just don't think it had to be handled this poorly.

Dont keep your thoughts to yourself. This was a trash week and a half, with garbage ass trades and the reasoning behind smells like a dog turd wrapped in cat shit. It feels like the Goatse guy sat on our face and farted. Fuck the front office and the ownership. Fucking lying ass bastards. It was easy to cover their sliminess when we were winning. Now we see the truth about their intent. I would not be surprised if they flip this whole thing to a new investment group ala Sam Zell after the Wrigleyville development finishes in the next few years.
