Farm System
Here's a question I have for y'all...seeing how bat starved this team is-would you rather keep with the catching thing, or start giving Schwarber some run in the OF to fast track his bat. His value is much higher as a strong hitting catcher, but, he'd still have a shit load of value as a power hitting LF.

I think his bat is close to major league ready, if not already there. But, if the catching thing is continued, I don't think it'll be until mid 2016 or so until we see him in Chicago.

Does Chesny Young show up on any prospect lists? He is a OF for the Pelicans. He hit over .320 last year and he is hitting .360 in myrtle beach right.

Anyone know anything about him?

Iowa on Comcast right now.  Baez 2-2 with an RBI double.

Side note, Taylor Davis is White Sox level WT good Lord.  Embarrassed he's in our system.

Baez 2-2 so far with a 2B and RBI. Game is on CSN.

Edit: jinx.

Btw, these announcers are just awful.

Javy now 3-4 with another RBI single. Impressive day all around. He is laying off of the low and away junk and isn't over-swinging.

Yoervis Medina was pretty wild in his inning of work. Good stuff, but wonder if he will be able to contribute to our pen eventually.

And Germen looks like a lost cause.

The one sounded like a mini Hawk.

Haven't seen him pitch. Maybe he figures something out once joining the Cubs, like Strop or Arrieta?

Could be. He seems like more of a pitch-to-contact type though. Definitely lots of movement, but most of his pitches were down and out of the strike zone. Just one inning though, so hopefully he finds something soon.

We shall see. That could also be why he's in AAA, so the Cubs could get eyes on him to possibly fix something. I'm assuming with this front office, there must be something they see in him.

Lot of runs scored for the top 2 farm teams tonight. Iowa won 14 - 4 and Tennessee won 13 - 3

He's been pretty good this year but those BB are still way too high for a SP. Probably for the best.

It was where he was destined to go. He is sort of in the Grimm mold - high 90's fastball with good breaking stuff, but just with zero control. Just like Edwards, I seem to think it's a way for him to be accelerated to the bigs as I think his stuff will play out well in the bullpen.

Probably also means Pearce Johnson is back in the rotation at AA.
