Schwarber went yard again today. Six in 11 minor league games.

It's totally Cub fan of me to see the negative in his explosive debut to pro baseball. But damn, dude is going to get a big head if he doesn't struggle a little bit from time to time.

Don't forget about the inevitable career nagging injuries from playing catcher.

He did strike out twice in 20 ABs, so he has been humbled a couple of times.

I don't know anything about college baseball, but his numbers at IU are fucking outrageous.

Cubs will need a second starter for Saturday and can call up someone and do not have to make a corresponding move. From the twitterverse it sounds like it's going to be Dallas Beeler. Which should be interesting. I like his stuff.

Surprised it isn't Wada.

I bet Law still thinks there's nothing that should be taken from Schwarber's hot start.

FWIW, he has thrown out two runner's from behind the plate today.

Because he just pitched, it had to be Beeler, he was already on the 40 and pitched the day before Wada.

That's like 400% more than all Cubs Catchers combined.

And stole a base himself, apparently.

Vogelbomb tonight for Dayton. He seems to be heating up a bit, although it's been a bit of a lackluster season so far. Villanueva seems to have taken his demotion to Tennessee well. Through 28 at bats he has an OPS of 1.026.

I used to love watching him at IU. The dude was a stud.

He lost some weight in the off season...I wonder if he lost some pop in his bat as well.

Almora has been hitting well as of late. Looks like he went through the struggles this FO likes and may have overcome them.

I may be a click off on the exact number, but in June, Vogelbomb is OPSing .936 (ish). So yeah, he's definitely hitting better, which is awesome.
