Puig is a punk but did he flip his bag in disgust at his failure - hit it to dead center and realized it was a duck - or did he believe that it was a HR?
That point of view - Puig knew he flubbed it and knew it - was debated by Wilbon of ESPNs PTI last week. I have no clue but I would guess a number of MLBers hitters who could tell you they know how far a ball will travel from contact.
