MLB News & Notes (other than Cubs or Sox)
At this point I'm inclined to think that it's just schtick.

You're giving him far too much credit.

The man is pure evil plus a hillbilly. That's a deadly combo reserved mostly for serial killers and meth dealers.

I think he thinks people think that his silence is the most withering commentary there can be.

Carlos Gomez is trying his hardest to take the King of the Douchebags crown from Braun. What a joke.

I hate Gomez, but the Braves can go fuck themselves with a broom full of rusty nails. They are the biggest bunch of pussies I've ever seen in my life. If I'm the Brewers, I'd drill McCann every time he comes up, and gritty Reed Johnson should have been kicked out of the game and fined for sprinting off the bench and throwing the first (and as far as I can tell only) punch.
I wish that I believed in Fate. I wish I didn't sleep so late. I used to be carried in the arms of cheerleaders.

This is not some silly theory that's unsupported and deserves being mocked by photos of Xena.  [Image: ITgoyeg.png]

That was cool.

If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

Anyone know what would have happened had Cleveland lost yesterday and all AL WC teams ended up with the same record?

I got nothin'.

There would have been a three-team tiebreaker seeded based on records against the other two teams.  Cleveland had the best record in that regard, followed by Tampa Bay, and then Texas.

In that case, Tampa Bay would have played at Cleveland tonight with the winner being the first Wild Card team.  The loser of that game would have then played at Texas tomorrow night with the winner of that game being the second Wild Card team.  Then Wednesday would have been WC2 at WC1 to advance to the ALDS.

That would have been *perfect*.

I'm pretty tired of the Cardinals always making the playoffs and us never making the playoffs.

Yes. They are a shining example of quality management. We routinely have a higher payroll than St. Louis as well.

I'm just now coming to the conclusion that the Cards will win another WS this year. I am slow.
