I'm 100% fine with this. I'm just glad there's an actual plan in place that isn't, "Let's load up on retreads and hope we get lucky." I'm a little tired of that plan.

Yeah. AL is still better. But I'm not sure the gap is as huge as it used to be.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I totally agree that the talent gap is closing, but by how much I have no idea. Also, the importance of the DH seems to have diminished this year though, and if you look around you'll see a ton of shitty DHs and #8 hitters around the AL. Still better than batting the SP, but not by much. It also seems that a large % of AL teams are playing more of an NL type game with bunting, speed, and defense being emphasized more, and that has resulted in less than stellar lineups over there.

Who cares?
If Angelo had picked McClellin, I would have been expecting to hear by training camp that kid has stage 4 cancer, is actually 5'2" 142 lbs, is a chick who played in a 7 - 0 defensive scheme who only rotated in on downs which were 3 and 34 yds + so is not expecting to play a down in the NFL until the sex change is complete and she puts on another 100 lbs. + but this is Emery's first pick so he'll get a pass with a bit of questioning. - 1060Ivy

To answer Lance, no I don't care about baseball this year. The White sox having success is just a kick to the crotch is all.

And as much as I don't care about baseball, I care about soccer that much less.

Since when does a man have to explain taking a picture of nice tits? "Thank you" would have been a more apprpriate response. Damn Phan, I feel like I don't know you anymore now that you're engaged.

Can we get that pic blown up a little?
Fat Bastard is an immensely obese, hardly able to walk (weighing a metric ton) gardener and henchman hailing from Scotland. His extreme size endows Fat Bastard with super-human strength as exhibited by his prowess in the Sumo ring from Goldmember. This makes him a formidable enemy for Austin Powers. Fat Bastard is noted for his foul temper, his frequent flatulence, his vulgar and revolting bad manners and his unusual eating habits, which include taste for Human infants (which he calls "the other other white meat") or anything that looks like a baby, e.g. small people. Fat Bastard has been a regular at Cub games since the early 80's when he tried several times (unsuccessfully) to eat the visiting San Diego Chicken.

They have the great KW. We have the great JH. We have a senile LP. They have the cuckoo OG.

I just looked at their stats. I had no idea Alex Rios is having a pretty great year.

The Meth Heads have beaten the Cubs, Nationals, Pirates and Braves in the their last 4 series. These teams combined are 25 games under 500 with only the Braves being an over 500 team (42-30).

Basically, the Sux have gotten back to 500 by beating bad teams which is what a decent team is supposed to do.

Yep, and they aren't just winning series, they are sweeping these teams. A ton of the games have been close, but they are still taking care of business.

I wonder what that feels like.
