House of Saddam

I'm only through the first hour of this thing, but is anyone else watching it? It's kinda weird that everybody is speaking fluent English. It's a two-part series on HBO.
Ward, you were a little hard on the Beaver last night.

I saw the trailers but haven't had a chance to watch it. What's your review on the two-part series?

It really gave you a good idea of who he was and who his sons were. They were really horrible human beings. The scene with his capture was great! The part I didn't like was how the whole movie was in English and then in certain parts that spoke in their native tongue, very inconsistant. It might have been more believable with subtitles. Overall it was fascinating.

I watched the whole thing, I thought it was really good, especially the first two hours. I really didn't know much about how he took power and the years before the gulf war, it was pretty interesting.

I will definitely have to give this a shot. I have read about the Saddam family history (his sons were even more fucked up in the head than their father) so this peaked my curiosity. I just haven't been able to catch any of the viewings. Hopefully I will be able to watch it before it cycles out.

I was able to watch the last hour. I would love to see the first part.
