And Smyly is still on the Cubs roster - not saying that he’s not worth the Cubs roster but assume that someone will trade for a starter
Heyward with some nice pop with a double off the CF walk
Vargas nails one into RF for what could have been a stand up triple but head first slides in and plates 2 runs
Then, head first slides into home on a sacrifice fly.
Guess he must like to get the front of his uniform dirty

This team may be worse than the 2011-14 rebuilding era Cubs teams. That's impressive work by the FO.

Again, if the Reds and the Pirates weren’t in their division they could lose 100 games but I’m also expecting that Smyly and at least one other starter along with Willco to be gone by August.
The squad did just take a series against the Padres, a team with a winning record. Proving once again, on some days, the sun even shines on a dead dog’s ass.

I'm expecting a return to normal against the Pirates. Plus, this team is really crappy at home.
