I guess I must have missed it when the Trib gave him the ax along with Downey and other sportswriter hacks. <!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->According to sources, Dan Plesac is expected to take an analyst job with the new Major League Baseball Network. The left-hander is terrific in breaking down a game. I joined him a few times on "Chicago Tribune Live" and always came away impressed with his insights. Mr. Plesac also is funny and entertaining, with a "lefty" sense of humor. He will be a good addition to the MLB Network. As for other broadcast news, still no word on whether Darrin Jackson will move to the Sox radio broadcasts on WSCR-AM 670. DJ was pushed off television to make way for Steve Stone. He was offered the radio gig. It wouldn't be a surprise if Mr. Jackson also wound up on the MLB Network.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> Plesac on the way out? - Clapp - 12-02-2008 Dammit, I love Plesac. Well, I'm sure I'll be watching plenty of the MLB Network anyway, so that's cool. Great hire by them. Plesac on the way out? - Jody - 12-02-2008 Good, I was getting tired of the big blue train and that stupid hat anyway. Plesac on the way out? - Clapp - 12-02-2008 It's confirmed as he's on CSN right now talking about it. |
