So I saw a bunch of movies over the weekend - veryzer - 01-20-2009
1. "tropic thunder" - i actually liked this one, though not as much as i was hoping. robert downey jr was great though, as always. i gave it a b.
2. "eagle eye" - this one started out good, but got repititious quick. another movie about computers taking over the world. yawn. b-.
3. "stepbrothers" - stupid. even my kids didn't like it. c- and that may be generous.
4. "get smart" - is this action or comedy? not real funny, anne hathaway was hot, but in the end, nothing to get excited about. b-.
5. "appoloosa" - boring. b-.
6. "burn after reading" - i was tremendously distracted throughout this movie, so i can't give it a good grade. what i saw though makes me think that i won't be renting it again. inc.
7. "pineapple express" - i liked this one....but not as much as i was hoping. ruby was right, the action sequence at the end was way too long. still had plenty of laughs though. i may have to check it out again. a solid b.
8. "paul blart - mall cop" - took my kids to see it and we all laughed out loud. good clean fun, good laughs, likable hero, good movie all around and age appropriate to boot. best movie i saw all weekend. b+.

If they would have cut out the bullshit and down time and made it like a 45 minute movie, I would agree with your B. Red was funny, there were some good lines, they just get lost in all the boring shit in between.

Step Brothers had its moments, but in the end was quite pointless. I'm not saying I wouldn't watch it again, but it isn't close to being one of the better Ferrell or Reilly comedies. Prestige Worldwide is pretty awesome though.
