Besides Ledger getting a best supporting actor nomination, Dark Knight only received a lot of technical nominations. No best director or best picture. Shame really.

Not sure why Benjamin Button and Frost/Nixon are on there. The former got average reviews and the latter just doesn't strike me as best picture material. I think Frost/Nixon has everything to do with memorializing Langella. Anyway, I haven't seen any of them, so I guess I should keep my mouth shut.

Anne Hatheway surprises me also. Seems like an odd choice.

Oscar Nominations - Butcher - 01-22-2009

I haven't seen a single one of the Best Picture nominees. And I think only one of them even interests me at all.

anne hathaway just gets better and better looking. when she first appeared in "the princess diaries" movies i thought she was okay, gawky, kind of a long nose, but man has she grown into an attractive woman. now when i think of her nose, i think of it pressed against my anus as she laps at my gooch, my scrote pressed firmly against her chin.

Fincher and Pitt struck gold before, so Button interests me. If it wasn't a Fincher film, it would just look like a children's fairy tale to me. I'd like to see it.

I'd like to see Button (because of Fincher), Slumdog (because of Boyle), and Milk (because of Penn). Frost/Nixon looks silly and over the top for a movie based on a single interview, but I'm willing to sit through it because of the history associated with it. I'm kind of tired of all the Nixon movies though. I dunno, this just wasn't a great year for movies outside of the comic book genre.

Man, I totally agree. She is one of the hottest women around IMO.

I don't know. She isn't unattractive at all, but she doesn't do much for me. She looks a little weird -- like maybe she had some plastic surgery and her facial proportions don't look quite right.

Oscar Nominations - rok - 01-22-2009

I don't care for her big eyes. Other than that she's pretty attractive, but not someone I'd fawn over.

Oh I'm fawning man, I'm fawning like they just invented it.

Oscar Nominations - Biff - 01-23-2009

Anne Hathaway has great yabbos!

I'm not film critic like some of you guys here, but I saw Button and was underwhelmed. I thought Pitt was great, but the whole story was just strange to me, and I'm still not really sure what the point of the movie was, and I got a little bored through the middle. I definitely saw the Forrest Gump comparisons, but it doesn't come close to Gump IMO.
