Harden to the DL - cigar - 05-22-2009 The hits just keep coming. <!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->The Cubs placed Rich Harden on the 15-day disabled list with a back strain on Friday<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> Harden to the DL - Clapp - 05-22-2009 We'll go with your thread I guess. Wells is starting tomorrow. Harden to the DL - cigar - 05-22-2009 I can't help but feel this move was made up just to keep from having to send Patton back. I really hope that is not the case but this sure seems fishy. Harden to the DL - Clapp - 05-22-2009 I wish we could trade for Peavy now, like in the next 2 hours before he beats us as well. Harden to the DL - Butcher - 05-22-2009 At least it isn't his shoulder. Doesn't sound serious, more that they're just being safe and it's the right call, just frustrating. He can comeback June 2nd. Lou said at the start of the year they wanted to give Harden some rests over the course of the year and doing it like this, he only has to miss 2 starts, gets some rest and we can replace him with another pitcher for 10 days. Harden to the DL - Clapp - 05-22-2009 <!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->"It's a mid-back strain," Cubs general manager Jim Hendry told ESPNChicago. "It's in the back side near his oblique. He did it in the pen the other night in his side session. Trainer Mark O'Neal told me it wasn't really bad, but we don't want to take any chances with Rich. We want to get it right for him."<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> Harden to the DL - Ace - 05-22-2009 Thing is, if the Cubs aren't absurdly cautious with Harden injuries, he starts compensating weirdly, and fucks up his shoulder. Harden to the DL - rok - 05-22-2009 Fuck Harden. Harden to the DL - Andy - 05-22-2009 Since we still have 11 pitchers, including 5 starters, does this mean that Fox can come up rather than another pitcher? Z is replacing Harden. Harden to the DL - kbwsb - 05-22-2009 Man. Snakebit season. OTOH, an injury to Dick Harden is hardly shocking. And I'm glad we're being cautious. |
