They signed Corey Patterson to a minor league deal.

They will be unstoppable now with the addition of speed.

Look for the Brewers to heat up again - Beams - 08-02-2009

they'll be unstoppable once they call up Matt LaPort-

ahhh...nevermind.

I think it's time to call this a two-team race with the Brewers losing again tonight to the Padres, and the Astros in big trouble with the loss of Berkman, Wandy, and Oswalt.

I think the Astros are done, but don't count out the Brewers yet. They've got the easiest schedule in the 2nd half. See where they're at in a few weeks.

I just don't think they can hang with the Cubs and Cardinals, but we'll see I guess. Hart's going on the DL now too. Their pitching staff outside of Gallardo is a complete joke. They just went 3-4 against the Nationals and Padres, and now go on the road to play the Dodgers and Astros. They're 9 games under .500 since June 1st, as their rotation came back to earth. I think they basically felt they're most likely out of it as well or they would've traded for a starting pitcher. They're right there at 4.5 games out, but I just don't think they have the starting pitching to go on a big winning streak.

The girl was also 17. And nobody said she wasn't allowed. I was just trying to help tone down some of the commentary that went on in the threads she started.
