Ramirez - Auz - 08-01-2009

Anyone know if he is ok or not? Busted arm? It was a fair whack he took.

Which Marlins player gets plonked tomorrow?

Oh yeah, FUCK NUNEZ!

Ramirez - Ace - 08-01-2009

AUZ!

Ramirez - vegascub - 08-01-2009

I don't know. It was really kind of weird. It's like it wasn't even his arm bothering him. Hopefully just maybe a little dehydration.

None, we knocked out their best player with a HBP as well.

Ramirez - rok - 08-01-2009

So if we lose ARam and Z after tonight, I give up.

Z just seemed like a day to day back thing. I shouldn't say that because it's the Cubs we're talking about, but I'm wayyyyyyyyyy more worried about Aramis. If he was dizzy because of his elbow hurting that much, that's not a good sign. I'm hoping it was a separate issue.

Ramirez - MrSheps - 08-02-2009

So is there no Aram news because it's so late on the east coast? It's really annoying, I'd at least like to know if he left because of the HBP or his eyes or dehydration or a combo or what. Does Lou not talk to the press in these late road games? What's going on? I bet he died on the table...

Ramirez - Clapp - 08-02-2009

<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->Aramis Ramirez had to leave Saturday's game because he was feeling dizzy after getting hit by a pitch. Ramirez was plunked in the 10th on the meaty part of his left forearm. He stayed in the game and advanced on a sacrifice, but then walked toward the dugout and had to be helped off the field. Lou Piniella said he'll see how Ramirez is feeling Sunday.

Thanks Clapp. I feel better, I was hoping it was a dizzy/dehydration sort of thing and not pain from the HBP. Poor guy looked like he was going to pass out.

Ramirez - Fella - 08-02-2009

<!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->The Cubs feel they dodged bullets with Ramirez and Zambrano, who left after the third inning because of lower back stiffness he said was ''nothing to worry about.''

Zambrano suggested Saturday's problem might have been caused by sleeping wrong or a too-soft hotel bed. Either way, he felt confident he would be able to make his next start, Friday in Colorado, after getting treatment.

''I was feeling it the whole game,'' Zambrano said. ''As the game went on, it was getting worse and worse. And I saw my arm dragging a lot. And Lou told me something that was right: 'Before you get your arm injured, let's take you out of the game.' It was the best thing to do.''

Ramirez may get a day off today, but is expected to be fine, Piniella said.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Ramirez - Destined - 08-02-2009

Whew. I can sleep now.

Only the Cubs. Didn't Wood miss time after sleeping on a shitty hotel bed?

Ramirez - Kid - 08-02-2009

Sullivan says Ramirez is expected to play today.

Ramirez - rok - 08-02-2009

I will feel a whole lot better once this is all confirmed today. Also, we need to win this game.

Ramirez - Kid - 08-02-2009

Not starting today.
