Kevin Gregg - Andy - 09-09-2009

Will he be with the club next year?

I get this feeling he will be, simply because he's a relatively cheap backup if any of the other guys in position fail.

Kevin Gregg - Fella - 09-09-2009

No way, he is a free agent, I can't see us re-signing him.

That's right, this was his 6th season. Then I hope Hendry doesn't even think about signing him.

Kevin Gregg - Andy - 09-09-2009

I guess the better question:

Of the Cub free agents, who gets resigned:
Reed Johnson
Rich Harden
John Grabow
Kevin Gregg

Kevin Gregg - 1060Ivy - 09-09-2009

Can we get a fund to differ the cost of the Cardinals signing Gregg?

I'm in for $100.

My guess would be only Grabow

Johnson and Grabow.

Kevin Gregg - savant - 09-09-2009

I going to bet on Grabow, with a slight chance of Harden returning.

Johnson and Grabow.

That's what I think as well, but if Grabow tests the FA market, I think he's a goner.

You're blaming him for a foul ball breaking his foot? I want him back if the price is right.

But we have a new white, scrappy outfielder with good defense in Sam Fuld!

Kevin Gregg - Butcher - 09-09-2009

I'm trying hard to give a fuck.

I don't see us competing next season with or without Johnson.

I know it looks bleak, but I know that barring a disastrous offseason, I'll still be a sucker for this team once again at least until we're out of the race again at some point next season. I promised myself I wouldn't care this year either after the playoffs, but I still lived and died with this team up until mid-August.
