And is he on track?

Starlin Castro: NL Rookie of the Year - Kid - 05-23-2010

Jason Heyward's getting all the press, so he'll be hard to beat. If he maintains a high average, he'll have a chance, but he's also hamstrung by being in the minors for the first month-plus while Heyward was in the majors.

I'm hoping Heyward gets injured.

That's some bad juju.

It was also a joke. I only wish injuries on Cardinals and Shite Sox.

Strasburg

Starlin Castro: NL Rookie of the Year - Runnys - 05-23-2010

If Heyward stays healthy I don't see any way he doesn't get ROY. He will likely have 30+ HR's, 100+ RBI's, .290+ Avg...anyone will be hard pressed to win over those stats.

Starlin Castro: NL Rookie of the Year - Kid - 05-23-2010

Strasburg's almost certainly going to get called up too late. Pitchers rarely win it and the season's going to be 40% over when he gets called up.

If he wins 10+ and puts up a 2.50 ERA, maybe, but that's probably what it would take.

Starlin Castro: NL Rookie of the Year - funkster - 05-23-2010

Heyward's the new Babe Ruth.

He also has an agreement with the Nationals that he will be limited to about 100 innings this season. There's pretty much no chance Strasburg wins it.

Lies? I got nothing.

I'd love to see the kid win it, but, as already noted, Heyward is the obvious frontrunner unless he either gets injured or somehow completely loses it.
