I think you guys are over-thinking the service time issue. If Bryant is ready, he'll be up. All super two status means is that he'll an extra year of arbitration. Big whoop, the Cubs aren't the Rays or Astros and probably would make up the cost of arbitration on jersey sales alone.
If he continues to progress, they may not wait until the Super Two deadline, but I do think service time plays into this to the extent they're not going to call him up until he can't get enough service time to qualify for free agency until after the 2021 season. That happens sometime in May.

Granted, teams usually (or at least used to) wait until the first part of May so as not to raise the ire of the MLBPA for playing service time games.

You'd have to think they'll change the service rules somehow. It doesn't make sense to have the incentive to keep a good, young player in the minors. It's bad for the team and bad for baseball.
I can see playing the FA/service time game with the first player that's ready, because the Cubs still suck regardless, but when (and if) they're ready to contend, they damn well better have the best 25 on the roster from Day 1 and go balls to wall. If they don't, I seriously hope they miss the playoffs by a game. The Cubs shouldn't be run like the Rays or Pirates. (After seeing that Joe Ricketts video, I'm thinking that's exactly how they'll be run.)

Yet, these two teams have the same number of .500+ season combined since 2008 than the Cubs do in the last 25 years. Which model seems to be working the best?
The Cubs locked up the start of a core in Castro/Rizzo. What more do you want? Baseball is slowly going the way of teams reloading (trading your established players to replenish the farm system). Teams like the Cubs will benefit from this and be far more self-sufficient and better off once they get to that point.

So excited for Vizcaino and Rivero. Time to get Rivero up to Triple-A or the majors (would probably take an injury or two though).
They may want to give Rivero a chance to pitch in the Southern League ASG of course though.
