Well a shitty played game somehow ends up a great game. Marmol looked very nasty to Braun and Fielder. Lou doesn't fuck around so I wouldn't be surprised if Marmol just grabbed the closer job permanently.
I don't know what we need to do to get the pen to throw strikes though and our defense and hitting with RISP has been shaky. At least our SPs have been solid and we are hitting the long ball.

God I hope so with Marmol. Tonight he showed exactly why he should have been closer all along.
I think our defense and hitting with RISP will come around. I'm not exactly comfortable with the way the bullpen has been pitching. They need to get their shit together, and fast.

I like that idea. If only to save Marmol's wing...there's no way that throwing the world's fastest slider isn't putting some wear and tear on that arm.

I just watched the Soriano homer again. I can't tell what that pitch was. It was 81 on the gun and it just floated up there with no movement whatsoever. And he absolutely smoked it. What a beautiful thing.
