I can't really add anything, except to say that this series was arguably some of the worst baseball the team has played since 2006. Lackluster in every respect, sans a few good bullpen innings. Don't tell anyone - Butcher - 05-07-2010 Considering every pitcher we faced (including the bullpen and closer) had ERA at 7.00 or above and we scored 5 runs in three games, this might be the worst series I've ever seen the Cubs play -- offensively, at least. It seems to me that it is one of those sports that is much better to watch in person. Don't tell anyone - PcB - 05-07-2010 I'm not sure how anyone can be bored during a hockey game, especially considering the amount of baseball they watch. Hockey has something going on every second of every game. If you're gonna get bored watching a sport, wouldn't it be baseball? Don't get me wrong, I love both sports but baseball moves way slower than hockey. Mound visits, pick offs, a pitcher just pitching slow all happen in one at bat. Sometimes an AB can take 7-10 minutes. If you're gonna get bored during a sport, it's gonna be baseball. |
