I'm not trying to blow sunshine up anyone's ass, but c'mon guys, put down the razor.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I worried a bit down the stretch, but I don't think I was ever absolutely POSITIVE that we were going to miss the playoffs.

The Reds, Cards, and Pirates all look a lot better than they did last year. We look a little worse. I hope I'm proven wrong, but I won't be surprised either way.

The worst thing that could have happened was game 1 being such a cakewalk. We've been sleepwalking ever since. Questionable defense, questionable hitting approach, questionable managing. This team needs to get the hell out of town as quickly as possible.

Ultimate Surrender's a pretty good site. First, the girl's wrestle. Then, the winner takes a strap-on to the loser. To put that in perspective here, we are the losers and Harang is wearing the strap-on.

The Pirates are not going to be much, if any better at all than last year. Their lineup is beyond awful and arguably their best hitter is out 2 months. Anything other than the cellar for them would be a surprise. The Cardinals are solid, will probably finish with about the same record as last year. The Reds are better but won't be a threat to us.

Wow, I'm surprised Soriano didn't swing at those 2 pitches.

I don't think I've ever seen Soriano take 2 fastballs for strikes in an at bat.

Yes, and he didn't swing at two sliders on the dirt either. That was just not Soriano.

The Cardinals could be up to a 90 win team I suppose but they have to have about everything go right. I mean they're without Carpenter now, Wellemeyer is not looking like his 2008 self, and their bullpen is pure shit. They almost blew an 11-3 lead to the Mets today. It appears Ludwick was no fluke and Pujols is the best player on the planet though. I don't know, the Cubs will have to beyond suck or have a shitload of injuries. Both are very possible, but you can't predict it. The Cubs have to lose this division.

OK. Now I'm turning it off.
