For the booing? I'm not the biggest booer in the world either, but I'm just saying I get it in that situation.

I really wanted to avoid Bradley getting booed. You just don't know how something like that will affect him. He's been a Cub for, what? 13 games? Give the guy a break.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

You act like booing is unheard of. It happens all the time, regardless of how long you've been a Cub. Fuk got the shit booed out of him last year, Lee got booed at his 200th double play, Gregg got booed already this year. I realize Bradley is a mental midget, but not only was he not hitting today but he wasn't hustling in the field. If you're hurt, go on the DL. IF you're not, play hard. He's not playing well and the frustration by the fans is at least understandable.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I understand fan frustration. Believe me. I just didn't want to see Bradley get booed -- that's all. We could be going down a road we'll really end up regretting. Do you really want a pouty Bradley on the team? He'll end up playing in about 25 games if he doesn't feel like playing.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I don't think he's that big a pussy and if he is fuck him.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I hope he isn't. But if he is, and it takes the fans treating him like a Fabregé egg for him to produce, then we should. I'd hate to think of Bradley as a sunk cost 13 games into the first year of his contract.
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I don't think it's that dire, a road trip will probably help him if he's pressing at home. Either way, he should take his suspension or go on the DL until he can at least run after a pop fly.

Exactly, it's like Alf. You've gotta do whatever you can to make these guys feel comfortable, or we're really gonna be fucked. Like it or not that's the way it is. Milton's fragile and if you lose him mentally, the next 3 years are going to be a disaster. He's going to hit(unless he really loses it mentally), and we're in fucking April. Just let him be.

Cubs vs. Reds 4/22/09 - rok - 04-22-2009

I haven't given up on him, and we're 8-5 with him mostly out of the lineup, so he hasn't hurt us yet. At the same time, most fans are boobs with little to no baseball knowledge, and will boo or heckle anyone who doesn't hustle or makes an error or looks lost at the plate. I just wish Milton would stay out of the lineup until he can play at full strength because this isn't helping his case with the fans at all. I blame Lou for this one.

I agree. It's tough because they want Milton to get going at the same time, but he's not going to do that hurt. Like Savant(I believe) said yesterday, wish he would just serve his suspension now.
