Cubs @ Rockies 8/9/09 - Clapp - 08-09-2009 And of course he gets a run in. This is fucking ridiculous. Cubs @ Rockies 8/9/09 - Clapp - 08-09-2009 Baker loves this park. Cubs @ Rockies 8/9/09 - Clapp - 08-09-2009 Great day for Koyie, figured he'd get some good swings. As they said, Hammel's basically a fastball pitcher only in this park and that's what Koyie can hit. Now you bunt with Wells. Cubs @ Rockies 8/9/09 - biggz - 08-09-2009 Bradley just got suspended 3 games for killing the ground. Cubs @ Rockies 8/9/09 - Clapp - 08-09-2009 In case you weren't frustrated enough, we'll have Shark vs. Cliff Lee and the Phillies Wednesday. Cubs @ Rockies 8/9/09 - jstraw - 08-09-2009 I wanna trade for Todd Helton in the offseason. Cubs @ Rockies 8/9/09 - jstraw - 08-09-2009 Then send him to the minors for the season. Cubs @ Rockies 8/9/09 - jstraw - 08-09-2009 I think I've had my limit for today. Cubs @ Rockies 8/9/09 - alpha - 08-09-2009 16 hits and only 4 runs. Thats tough to do. Thats tough to do.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> I wonder what the worst runs to hits ratio game a team has had this year, with more than 10 hits. Thats tough to do.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> To be fair, we should've gotten at least 1(maybe even 3 more) when you consider that awful double play call. This is what happens a lot at Coors though. There's so many hits because of the outfield dimensions, which I've always said is the biggest reason so many runs are scored at this stadium. That's especially the case since the use of the humidor. I mean look at the Rockies today, 11 runs and 13 hits, no home runs. 29 hits between the 2 teams, no home runs. We've just been unable to get a big hit or two with multiple runners on. I wasn't following the game, just checked the boxscore and it seemed a bit odd the ratio of hits and runs. Cubs @ Rockies 8/9/09 - Andy - 08-09-2009 The LOB was ugly. It started out with the ground rule double in the first that had it not bounced that high, Bradley scores easily. It just really never got better. The defense sucked and the hitting was great until we got runners in scoring position. |
