Bradley - 1060Ivy - 09-23-2009 Bradley accepts his suspension and his pay. Why do I have this sinking feeling that we will be seeing more of Bradley in Cubs' blue in the future? http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4498298 Bradley - veryzer - 09-23-2009 <!--quoteo(post=64209:date=Sep 23 2009, 05:47 PM:name=1060Ivy)-->QUOTE (1060Ivy @ Sep 23 2009, 05:47 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->Bradley accepts his suspension and his pay. Bradley - cigar - 09-23-2009 Yeah I think he burnt his bridges here. He is as good as gone. Bradley - Ace - 09-23-2009 Did you guys read the quotes? There's definitely a chance they "get past" this. Bradley - ColoradoCub - 09-23-2009 Publicist/Agent composed, face saving BS. He may be un-tradable at a reasonable cost. We may be stuck with him and the Cubs may need to put a better face on it. His teamates have already disowned him for the most part. He will be crucified the next time he steps foot in Wrigley Field. He is done with the Cubs. But it would be right up the Cubs' alley to further harm a guy's trade value just before trying to trade him, and then fail to get any even remotely acceptable offers, and then keep the guy. Just look at what they did with . . . . . . I'll get back to you. Bradley - rok - 09-24-2009 The situation is irreparable with the Cubs. His apology was issued to make him more tradeable to "other" teams, not to fix the situation here. He won't be a Cub next year. Bradley - Coach - 09-24-2009 Fomr Tampa paper: <!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->Pat Burrell was a bust at DH, and probably needs to return to the National League. In a perfect world, the Rays upgrade at catcher or DH without hurting themselves elsewhere. How do you do that? Finding the right match. For instance, the Rays were interested in Milton Bradley last off-season before he signed with the Cubs. Bradley had a tumultuous season in Chicago — as he has elsewhere — and will probably be traded. If the Rays convince the Cubs that Burrell could excel by returning to the NL in the walk year of his contract, they might have a willing partner. Their 2010 salaries are a wash, but the Rays will have to figure out a way to negate Bradley's $12 million salary in 2011. Is it likely? Probably not, but that's the sort of deal the Rays will probably be seeking.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> Bradley - jeffy - 09-24-2009 No thanks. I want to get rid of Bradley, but Burrell blows these days.
