Total unreal bullshit. I have tears in my eyes, but I think I'm too pissed to actually cry. I felt it was truly going to happen this year.

Ron Santo - cigar - 12-08-2008

I had a feeling he wasn't going to get in. It sucks. I am not sure he ever will.

I think he'll get in eventually, but probably after he dies.

Yep, that's how I felt even this morning. It just isn't going to happen. Good thing his number was retired because there has never been a Cubs player who deserved to be immortalized in that uniform and in that ballpark than Ron. That's the least that the organization, the fans, and the game itself could give him after all he's been through and after how he played the game.

Yep and then the Committee will pat itself on the back.

Ron Santo - Andy - 12-08-2008

At least Levine levied some pretty tough questions at Morgan. Only 39 of 64 votes. That's crap!

Ron Santo - cigar - 12-08-2008

The guys on MLB Homeplate are just ripping the voters on XM right now. I think right now it is Rob Dibble, Kevin Kennedy and Buck Martinez. They are as pissed as we are.

Unreal.

For Hodges...by the way, as well.

Ron Santo - Butcher - 12-08-2008

Morgan has got to be in the top 10 Biggest Douchebags in Baseball. Top 5, maybe.

Ron Santo - cigar - 12-08-2008

Rob Dibble is going off. He just said and I quote "Some of these Hall of Famers forget. They are not as good as they think they are."

That's the thing. Every one of those guys wants the Hall to be JUST inclusive enough to include them, then they pretty much want it to shut the door behind them.

I seem to remember Mike Schmidt being just as much an elitist as Morgan is, by the way.

It is time for a boycott on all MLB-branded merchandise.

I think Schmidt used to be and then changed his tune before the previous vote. I think he even wrote an article online. I'm too lazy to google it though.

Does that mean you're going to retire your Official Cubs dildo?
