soi keeper fantasy football - Ace - 12-20-2009 I have nothing to do with this league, but just a question: Are there leagues where the team with the highest regular season *point total* gets a payout? I'm in a couple leagues, and we pay out to the regular season *best record,* but not highest points. Is that abnormal? Heck, in one league I had the highest points, but finished in 4th place. Maybe I should be asking for some cash. soi keeper fantasy football - Coldneck - 12-20-2009 <!--quoteo(post=72570:date=Dec 20 2009, 06:30 PM:name=Ace)-->QUOTE (Ace @ Dec 20 2009, 06:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->I have nothing to do with this league, but just a question: Are there leagues where the team with the highest regular season *point total* gets a payout? Later we added in head to head, but in the other 4 leagues I am in, the point leader gets cash, to varying degrees. Ace, your example is exactly why I would never vote for best record getting $$. Since record is really a result of who you play, rather than how you do, that factor is rewarded by the Super Bowl winner getting cash. I would suggest that in your league, you probably had the best team, but since your schedule didn't work in your favor, you win nothing. In a choice between best record getting $$, or the playoff victors getting everything, I'd choose the latter. In the two other leagues I ended up with the most and second most points, I ended up .500 in both leagues, because of my schedule. So it's not unusual. But I will get rewarded for having a good team as long as I continue scoring points through the end of the year. soi keeper fantasy football - PcB - 12-20-2009 <!--quoteo(post=72581:date=Dec 20 2009, 06:12 PM:name=BT)-->QUOTE (BT @ Dec 20 2009, 06:12 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec--><!--quoteo(post=72578:date=Dec 20 2009, 06:03 PM:name=Coldneck)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Coldneck @ Dec 20 2009, 06:03 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec--><!--quoteo(post=72570:date=Dec 20 2009, 06:30 PM:name=Ace)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Ace @ Dec 20 2009, 06:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->I have nothing to do with this league, but just a question: Are there leagues where the team with the highest regular season *point total* gets a payout? This is Bz. soi keeper fantasy football - Coldneck - 12-28-2009 The league championship game is coming down to Adrian Peterson against the hometown Bears. PcB needs AP to score 18 points to win the league outright and 17 for a tie. Cigar is hoping the Chicago D can hold AP down. It is also quite possible that the Vikings bench AP early in a blow out. Should be an interesting game. Barring a huge performance from my Vikings defense, Chitown will finish in the money at third place. I plan to mail out checks to the winners. So PM me you mailing address or post it here. 1st: $150 2nd: $75 3rd: $25 soi keeper fantasy football - PcB - 12-28-2009 I'm really hoping the Bears keep this thing close. I need about 120 yards and a TD from AP to take it. Good luck tonight Cigar, may the best team win. soi keeper fantasy football - cigar - 12-28-2009 I don't like my chances. Good luck! soi keeper fantasy football - Coldneck - 12-29-2009 Congrats PcB. Your check will go out in today's mail. PM me your addresses Cig and Chitown. 1s: PcB ($150) 2nd: Cigar ($75) 3rd: Chitown ($25) soi keeper fantasy football - BT - 12-29-2009 Congrats PCB. Now we have to figure out the rules for next year so an 8th place team never wins the super bowl again. We also should probably do it while things are still fresh in our heads. soi keeper fantasy football - Coldneck - 12-29-2009 <!--quoteo(post=73214:date=Dec 29 2009, 09:32 AM:name=BT)-->QUOTE (BT @ Dec 29 2009, 09:32 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->Congrats PCB. Proposal #1: 6 team playoff with the top 2 teams getting a bye. Proposal #2: Payout as follows: 20% to top overall points through playoffs; 50% to Playoff Winner; 20% to Playoff Runner-Up; 10% to Playoff 3rd Place Proposal #3: Increase entry fee to $40 Proposal #4: Add Special Teams to the Defense position. Proposal #5: Add two additional teams. soi keeper fantasy football - BT - 12-29-2009 I'm fine with all of those. Also, did we ever decide how many keepers we are keeping? soi keeper fantasy football - Coldneck - 12-29-2009 <!--quoteo(post=73221:date=Dec 29 2009, 10:01 AM:name=BT)-->QUOTE (BT @ Dec 29 2009, 10:01 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->I'm fine with all of those. I'm still not entirely sure how we are going to handle an online draft with Keepers. I suppose we could utilite the Batcave, but that is not ideal in my opinion. soi keeper fantasy football - BT - 12-29-2009 <!--quoteo(post=73222:date=Dec 29 2009, 09:04 AM:name=Coldneck)-->QUOTE (Coldneck @ Dec 29 2009, 09:04 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec--><!--quoteo(post=73221:date=Dec 29 2009, 10:01 AM:name=BT)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BT @ Dec 29 2009, 10:01 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}><!--quotec-->I'm fine with all of those. When people come to the round in which they saved a guy, that guy has to be taken by them. The commissioner should be able to assign those picks if he has to. soi keeper fantasy football - PcB - 12-29-2009 I like #2, #3, and #4 soi keeper fantasy football - BT - 12-29-2009 if we go to 12 teams, what do you guys think about divisions? maybe 3 divisions, with the 3 div winners going to the playoffs, and 3 wildcard teams? |
