Joc was not the high contact - with some HR power - lead off hitter with better D than Schwarber at 70% of Schwarbers salary that Cubs were hoping when signed. He is a high energy, good clubhouse guy who was a good streaky hitter with passable D.

KB will still likely be traded but now he's a damaged rental so Cubs return might be reduced.
Might the Cubs be better off holding onto KB and receive a compensatory pick - assuming that new CBA includes these for next season - who knows?
It will come down to the specific trade proposal and which prospects are included.
KB's injury doesn't help the Cubs but what's new?
