2021 Team - Auz - 07-15-2021 The sell off begins. Joc traded for a bag of balls - https://twitter.com/russ_dorsey1/status/1415831440399376384?s=21 2021 Team - funkster - 07-15-2021 Christ. 2021 Team - funkster - 07-15-2021 Actually better than I initially expected https://twitter.com/theblogfines/status/1415832780122980352?s=21 2021 Team - jeffy - 07-15-2021 Hmmm, not too bad. 2021 Team - funkster - 07-15-2021 Sounds like his defense sucks, but he has a monster bat. 2021 Team - Butcher - 07-16-2021 Joc, we hardly knew ye. Best spring training player weve had in years. 2021 Team - 1060Ivy - 07-16-2021 Quote:Joc, we hardly knew ye. Best spring training player weve had in years.Joc did rake in spring trading but lots of AAAA players did the same over the years e.g. Amora, litany of homegrown players manning third basemen between Santo and Bryant, etc. Joc was not the high contact - with some HR power - lead off hitter with better D than Schwarber at 70% of Schwarbers salary that Cubs were hoping when signed. He is a high energy, good clubhouse guy who was a good streaky hitter with passable D. Awaiting the year when the Cubs outfield can regularly provide offensive spark 2021 Team - funkster - 07-16-2021 Looks like Ball has had a tough year, but last few weeks been OPSing almost .900. Could end up being a good move. 2021 Team - Butcher - 07-16-2021 Joc kind of sucks, so the fact that we got anything for him beyond salary relief is a bonus. 2021 Team - rok - 07-16-2021 Heyman's "sources" are probably Rizzo's and Javy's respective agents. https://twitter.com/JonHeyman/status/1416069367587082240 2021 Team - funkster - 07-22-2021 Thinking hamstring Kris might not be traded at the deadline after all.. 2021 Team - 1060Ivy - 07-22-2021 KB will still likely be traded but now he's a damaged rental so Cubs return might be reduced. Might the Cubs be better off holding onto KB and receive a compensatory pick - assuming that new CBA includes these for next season - who knows? It will come down to the specific trade proposal and which prospects are included. KB's injury doesn't help the Cubs but what's new? 2021 Team - funkster - 07-22-2021 He is not likely to be traded if they decide the value is worth more taking the comp pick. 2021 Team - rok - 07-22-2021 So basically if he's hurt and sucks the rest of the season, the chance that he accepts the QO also goes up. Cool. 2021 Team - rok - 07-23-2021 So long Sogard. |
