What was it like watching Mordecai Brown pitch? Kevin Gregg - Auz - 09-09-2009 I see another .500 season next year Kevin Gregg - MW4 - 09-10-2009 Keep in mind... Barring a COMPLETE COLLAPSE--this will be the first time since 1972 where the Cubs have been above .500 for THREE straight years. I became a Cub fan the summer of 1972, so for me a lifetime and this is the ONLY time for three years over .500. At least we are not the Pirates. We may finish over .500 this year, but it might as well be 20 under .500 because that is what it feels like. If the current division lead holds, it will be 30 times. That's nothing to be proud of, whether we finish .500 or not. Kevin Gregg - Butcher - 09-11-2009 Marmol is 7 for 7 in save opportunities since taking over that role. At least we don't need to drop a bunch of coin on a closer in the offseason. Fuck off, Valverde. Remember how he turned his season around last year after being added to the AS team at the last minute? I don't think it's a coincidence at all. Kevin Gregg - PcB - 09-11-2009 I think it could be because we're not playing for anything so there's no pressure on him... Kevin Gregg - rok - 09-11-2009 Jeff Stevens is doing a pretty good Gregg impression today.
