Z to the Pen - Giff - 04-21-2010 Theoretical question: What if we get a lights out, Marmol-like Z to pitch the 8th inning. And we get an average of 6 innings a start and a 4.25 ERA from Silva and Gorzo. Does this make it a good move? Z to the Pen - biggz - 04-21-2010 I know the money doesn't really matter...but...$18MM for a fucking reliever? Z to the Pen - Coach - 04-21-2010 <!--QuoteBegin-"ruby"+-->QUOTE ("ruby")<!--QuoteEBegin-->I dare you to find someone that thinks this makes sense, other than Lou obviously.<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> <!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->David Kaplan thekapman Carlos Zambrano to the bullpen effective Friday. Solid move if he is mentally into it. At least the Cubs are trying to do something!<!--QuoteEnd--><!--QuoteEEnd--> Z to the Pen - ColoradoCub - 04-21-2010 <!--quoteo-->QUOTE <!--quotec-->craigcalcaterra: If one trait typifies relief pitchers it's grace under pressure and the ability to let go of setbacks after they happen. Z to the Pen - Butcher - 04-21-2010 Zambrano's three "worst" seasons 07, 08, and 09 are all better than Silva's (05, 07) and Gorzo's (07) best seasons. This is just a terrible knee-jerk reaction of a move by Lou. Z to the Pen - ColoradoCub - 04-21-2010 Lou says this may not be a temporary thing Z to the Pen - phan - 04-21-2010 how do we know this is official? Z to the Pen - jeffy - 04-21-2010 His cramping issues will also probably get worse if he's not on a schedule. This is just retarded on so many levels. Z to the Pen - Kid - 04-21-2010 I'm stunned by this move and I don't like it. But I'm not convinced that it won't work.
