Nice win against the NL Central leading Pirates
Will Bellinger return as first baseman and keep Tauchman in CF? Move appears to make sense as expectation when Cubs signed him was that Bellinger would be an option at first, Cubs production at first has been disappointing, Tauchman has been playing well, and Cody’s knee would likely not be strained as much playing first than CF.
Of course, this is baseball so Bellinger and Tuchman may both get injured on first play of the first game that they are on the field together.

Last night was a blast. Once the game got started, the rain never really progressed beyond a drizzle. Also, I had 1914 Club seats, so just ducked inside when it started getting wet. Sat in the 6 row, right behind the Cubs on deck circle. Pretty awesome seats.
By the way, the Cubs are 3-1 since they brought Madrigal back. Coincidence?

This series was a shitload of fun.
I've had zero expectations this season while just trying to enjoy watching the team regardless of the outcome (which isn't always easy, especially when they aren't scoring), but this has been a pleasant surprise of a stretch.

And now the Pirates have lost 5 in a row after losing a couple to the Brewers, while dropping from 1st to 3rd.
Meanwhile the Reds have won 7 straight.
Things are getting steamy.
