I think 60%/30%/10% for the payouts for 1st 2nd and 3rd place has been brought up a few times and no one has disagreed.

Also I'm not sure why we wouldn't allow people to keep anyone on their roster they want. I didn't even consider otherwise, was that discussed before?

I think someone did mention it, but regardless it's not so much IF we get to keep them, but HOW we get to keep them.

also, are the splits for points or record?

I think we have playoffs don't we? That should slot people into 1st, 2nd and 3rd pretty nicely.

BT, I think you are the only one in this league that has done a Keeper format league before. Go ahead and propose how to handle the Keeper situation for drafted players and players acquired during the year. We can discuss it at that point. I really don't know how or what format we should use because I don't have the experience to know what works and what doesn't. I'll probably just defer to your recommendation.

We'll go ahead and set the payouts at 60/30/10. I was assuming the playoffs would determine the order of finish. Let me know if that is not acceptable.

The way we do it is basically anyone picked up is considered to have been drafted in the 7th round. That means you would have to save them in the 6th round next year, if you want to keep them. Obviously we can fiddle with the rounds if you guys think that is too high or too low.

all this sounds good to me

soi keeper fantasy football - Coldneck - 09-28-2009

That works for me BT. I have several questions.

1. Is there a limit on how many players we can keep?
2. Can we keep 1st round picks (if so, I assume they would again count as a 1st round pick)?
3. How are we going to make this work with next year's draft since it is online?
4. What if you want to Keep more than one player that was acquired during the season? Does the second player move up to count as a 5th round pick, the third a 4th rounder, and so on?

1. We save three, but that would be up to the league. The more you save, the more boring the next draft gets.

2. Yes.

3. People will have a list of who is unavailable, so those guys CAN'T be picked (pay sites make this easier, but we will manage on Yahoo). When it's your pick in the round you saved a guy, you HAVE to take that guy.

4. We've gone both ways. We used to do it the way you are outlining. But then we changed it to the method that if you want 2 third round guys saved, you must trade for someone else's third rounder. The first method is good, but you run into problems with 2nd and 1st rounders.

My team is awesome. That is all.

soi keeper fantasy football - PcB - 09-29-2009

I scored 44 points this week, and I'm now 0-3. My team is amazing.

soi keeper fantasy football - liner - 10-04-2009

our defenses don't get points for kickoff or punt return tds? that's kinda weird isn't it?

soi keeper fantasy football - PcB - 10-04-2009

I feel bad for whoever drafted Forte with their first round pick. He has bust written all over him.

I feel bad for people that are too stupid to recognize that the Bears' offensive line is the reason that Forte hasn't been able to do dick this season.

So you're the one that drafted Forte huh? Wow, get the sand out of your pussy. I wasn't making fun of him I was just saying he's not a first round fantasy football player.

Wow, he scored a TD. First one this season?
