Black Swan - rok - 08-21-2009 The next Aronofsky film didn't really interest me until this bit from the script leaked. Unless some studio hack steps in and starts cutting out scenes, including this one, I need to see this movie. http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/08/20/script...uiet-slow-burn/ QUOTE There’s a review of Mark Heyman’s script for Black Swan, soon to be a Darren Aronofsky film starring Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, over at ScriptShadow. There’s a lot of detail there and some good analysis, but the piece opens with a huge bit of salesmanship that will likely get at least half our readers interested in the film really, really fast: “in this movie, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis have sex…And not just nice sweet innocent sex either. We’re talking ecstasy-induced hungry aggressive angry sex.” Does that make all you puerile bastards more interested in a movie about ballerinas? Yeah, I thought so. More after the break. Black Swan - veryzer - 08-21-2009 i want to see parts of that movie. Black Swan - VanSlawAndCottoCheese - 08-21-2009 I want to see parts in that movie. Black Swan - rok - 08-21-2009 It could turn into Showgirls with a supernatural edge to it. Black Swan - Butcher - 08-21-2009 I've enjoyed everything Aaronofsky has done so far. I'm going to assume this one will be good until I see evidence to the contrary. Black Swan - rok - 08-21-2009 It also kind of sounds a little bit like Suspiria, without some of the corny horror elements, and I would guess this is partly what attracted Aronofsky to it. Black Swan - Ace - 08-22-2009 Things like that never end up actually being as over the top as described. The scene, I mean. Not the flick. Black Swan - rok - 08-18-2010 This still has promise, but I am sort of unimpressed with the trailer, as I am with most over-edited trailers these days. Reminds me of Suspiria mixed in with some of Polanski's The Tenant. Black Swan - Auz - 08-25-2010 After seeing the trailer - Agree with Tom Black Swan - Ace - 08-28-2010 I think that looks pretty good. Black Swan - rok - 12-05-2010 Saw this tonight. It was excellent, and surprisingly the erotic scene involving Portman and Kunis actually didn't disappoint. Hopefully it gets a wide release, because the audience loved it as well. That is all I will say. 4.5/5 stars. Black Swan - Butcher - 12-06-2010 I'm seeing it tonight. Can't wait... Black Swan - Jody - 12-06-2010 This is a little off topic but it's Mila Kunis. Also, it may be a little NSFW-ish. Gentlemen, start your boners.... Black Swan - Butcher - 12-07-2010 Natalie Portman definitely deserves Oscar consideration. I still think the lead from Winter's Bone should probably take home the Best Actress Oscar, but Portman should get a nomination. She clearly poured everything she had into the role. I like the movie a lot, but it didn't have quite the same visceral impact that Requiem had. That's not necessarily a criticism because very few movies have the same visceral impact of Requiem... It was actually very similar in a lot of ways to The Wrestler, thematically. But Natalie Portman is a lot more fun to look at for 2 hours than Mickey Rourke. |
