Let’s start 1-0. Steele and Morel taking care of business thus far…
It’s been a long day so hopefully Cubs’ bats come and stay alive throughout the remainder of game, season, and playoffs
God damn do I hate Madrigal.
Saw that coming
That doesn’t look good
Bullpen picking up where they left off and immediately issuing a walk lol
That is some rotten fucking luck.
Confirmed hamstring injury. Sigh
Hamstring tightness it sounds like

Damn.

On the plus side, it feels so nice to have a competent manager for a change.

Hm. Was Smyly really our only option there? What a stupid goddamned loss. Hopefully Steele is OK. What a shit day.

To be fair, I posted that in the 7th inning or something...but yeah, agreed. I can't believe we didn't score in the top of the 10th.
That was a terrible opening day, like nightmare level. You lose your number one pitcher and get walked off. Blown save. It's just one game, if it wasn't opening day the loss would be whatever, but with the early schedule, there may not be a player worse to lose than Steele. And coming off the dress rehearsal for thinking we're fucked, only to find out we're not, and now to actually be fucked...it's quite the 180. Or 360? I'm just hoping for good MRI results. Which is maybe the worst hope out there 1 game in to the season.
Well…first two not great.
